Boise Civic Trust holds personal information only where the work requires it, and treats privacy as structure, not as a preferences page.
What the Trust holds
- Accounts. Email address, an optional display name, and your notification preferences.
- Contributions. Amounts, dates, and the fund or project each contribution supports. Payments are processed by Stripe; the Trust never holds card numbers.
- Attribution choices. How each contribution appears publicly — a name, an organization, a custom name, or anonymous — and whether the amount is visible. These are chosen per contribution and can differ every time.
- Civic-condition reports. What you reported, where, any evidence you attached, and your contact email if you provided one.
What is public
- Only attribution you explicitly chose to make public appears on the supporter record. Anonymous support is shown as anonymous — its existence is public, your identity is not.
- A published civic condition never identifies its submitter. Your identity stays private unless you separately and explicitly agree otherwise.
What the Trust does not do
- No sale or rental of personal information, to anyone, for any reason.
- No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts on this site.
- No publication of evidence files without review and approval.
Deletion
You can request account deletion from the settings page in My Civic Trust. Your sign-in, profile, follows, and preferences are removed; public attribution is withdrawn and replaced with an anonymous record. Contribution records themselves are retained because nonprofit accounting requires them, with personal fields cleared.
